Mexico. – Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the pre-candidate for MORENA, seeking the presidency in 2024, showed her dissatisfaction with Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz, pre-candidate of the opposition, for the inclusion of her children in her pre-campaign.
In a press conference, during her meeting at the La Huizachera Sports Unit, in Puebla, the pre-candidate for MORENA, PT and PVEM, reproached the incorporation of family members into a political project.
“It’s one thing to be supported externally and another to be presented as your campaign team. I don’t agree with that,” he said.
Before it could be criticized that her son helped her in the documentary she presented in recent days, the former Head of Government clarified the issue:
“By the way, I clarify, because my son participated in this documentary and did not receive any economic benefit because he is a documentary filmmaker and helped a process, but he is not on my campaign team.”
It should be recalled that on Tuesday, December 5, Gálvez Ruiz, during his presentation of his pre-campaign team, announced that his daughter, Diana Vega Gálvez, will be in charge of the “Xochilovers” team, while his son Juan Pablo Vega Gálvez will be in charge of creating a nationwide network of young people.
Subsequently, and in the face of the controversy unleashed by the insertion of her children in her pre-campaign, the Senator on leave, commented that neither Diana nor Juan Pablo will have positions in politics, in case she wins the presidency.
“I say it clearly, my children are not going to have a position in the government, they are not going to do influence peddling when I am president, I put them here in writing and I bet my new house again, that my children are not going to be involved in politics.”
