Chaco: Leandro Zdero took office and assured that “we received a very poorly managed province”

This Saturday, the governor-elect of Chaco, Leandro Zdero, was sworn in before the provincial legislature together with his running mate, Silvana Schneider, and began to advance some of the specific aspects that he will raise throughout his term. In his speech, he assured that “we come to ratify the commitment to work for the dream of a better Chaco. Our government will be a government of open doors, of consensus, efficiency, and dialogue and, above all, with its feet on the ground. Our cause is the well-being of the people of Chaco,” adding that “we are not populists. We’re not going to demagogue.” Then, he stressed that “repairing the asymmetries will not be an easy task. Politics is indebted to the people of Chaco because politics made a mistake and stopped listening. It’s with the people, next to the people or it’s nothing.” Regarding the state of the State, he considered that “the situation is not optimal. We received a province that is very poorly managed and has the highest poverty rate in the country,” and that he admitted that they will begin “audits on what the real situation of the province is.” And, finally, he concluded by stating that “I ask the people of Chaco for optimism to face what is coming and I also ask for patience because we are in a convulsed time for the country and the province.” It is worth noting that the inauguration of Zdero, linked to radicalism and Together for Change, culminated a streak of 16 years of Peronist governments, after defeating Jorge Capitanich in a runoff with 46.18 percent of the votes.
