Mauricio Macri Didn’t Vote in Boca’s Elections: The Reasons

On an extremely important day for Boca Juniors, due to the holding of one of the most important presidential elections in its history, it was revealed that the candidate for vice president on Andrés Ibarra’s list, Mauricio Macri, did not go to vote. His absence is due to the fact that he had a pre-established commitment due to his role as Executive President of the FIFA Foundation which, precisely, coincided with the rescheduling of the elections for Sunday, December 17. That is why, at the moment, the former president of the Nation is in Saudi Arabia, which is where the Club World Cup is being held.In that sense, Ibarra, in dialogue with TyC Sports, said: “Macri had a pre-assumed commitment but could not run it because of the date of the elections. There was no way I could be there.” Despite not being present, Mauricio Macri expressed himself on his social networks condemning the insults towards the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, who approached La Bombonera to cast his vote. “What we saw, unfortunately, is what has been happening for 4 years with Boca. I hope for the future and the good of our club that today ends and changes once and for all,” he said. Meanwhile, at noon, the opposition candidate for president went to vote with Martín Palermo, who is the one who would lead the squad if he wins.
