Morelia, Michoacán.- From the Legislative Branch we will give budgetary certainty for the care of children and adolescents, reinforcing the Attorney General’s Office in charge of defending minors, stressed Deputy Lupita Díaz Chagolla, member of the Parliamentary Group of the Party of the Democratic Revolution in the LXXV State Legislature.
The deputy member of the Commission for the Protection of Children and Adolescents, recalled that after the reform approved last October to various state ordinances for the creation of the Center for Care and Justice for Children and Adolescents, it was necessary to label resources so that the areas in charge of operating it can do so.
“For this reason, from Congress we decided to directly label five million pesos to the State Attorney for the Protection of Children and Adolescents, so that it can start 2024 facing the responsibilities mandated by the Law.”
Lupita Díaz stressed that the new legal provisions make it possible to have an institutional architectural space, in which all institutions, powers, and autonomous bodies converge for the care of children and adolescents who are victims or at risk of being affected.
“The first Center will be in Morelia, which will be under the coordination of the Ministry of Government, which must also allocate the necessary resources from its budget so that it is already operating in 2024.”
