Buenos Aires: Cloudiness and slight changesIn the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA), on Saturday, New Year’s Eve, partly cloudy skies are expected both in the morning and afternoon. Temperatures will range from a low of 10 to 18 degrees, reaching a high of 26°C. Rainfall is not anticipated, although a change in wind direction is expected, from southeast to east and then northeast, according to SMN data. By December 31, the sky will be mostly covered with clouds. Temperatures will remain between 15 and 28 degrees, with no rain forecast during the evening festivities, although the sky will remain mostly cloudy with easterly winds. Expectations and alerts in other regionsThe SMN issued yellow alerts for areas of Córdoba, La Pampa, Mendoza and San Luis to prevent possible adverse weather phenomena. In these provinces, there are warnings of storms that could be locally strong, accompanied by intense gusts, electrical activity, hail and rainfall of between 15 and 40 mm.
In northwestern Argentina, atmospheric instability prevails, with the possibility of rains and storms, mainly in Catamarca, La Rioja, and central Salta.South and Patagonia: Changes and stormsIn the Patagonia area, mostly cloudy skies are expected with temperatures ranging between 10 and 26 degrees, with a low probability of precipitation. However, in some areas, isolated thunderstorms and strong wind gusts are expected.
