Adorni assured that there is an open dialogue between the government and the CGT

The presidential spokesman, Manuel Adorni, assured that the national government maintains “an open channel of dialogue” with the CGT. However, he warned that he is not willing to negotiate a “free Argentina” that includes “ending poverty and indigence.” In his usual press conference at Casa Rosada, the national official said: “The channel of dialogue is open. What is not negotiable is a free Argentina, wanting to put an end to poverty, destitution. We want to be a normal country and that’s non-negotiable.” At the same time, regarding the mobilization that the trade union center called for January 24, he pointed out that President Javier Milei, “when he launched his race” for the first magistracy, presented “a vision of the country” and “the people elected him” to fulfill it, so “all those who want to join his idea are invited. Either you are with the Argentina we want or you are with the Argentina of the past”For his part, in the context of the New Year, Adorni explained that 2024 will be “a year” for the Government to continue “facing the changes”, and in that sense he called on “all the political and trade union leadership” to “be part of this profound change, always in line with the urgency and the situation of extreme delicacy that Argentina has, especially in economic matters”.
