He said that it was the National Coordination of State Offices for Attention to Migrants (Conofam) who reached an agreement with the U.S. Embassy in Mexico, after detecting fraud and excessive charges to older adults who carried out the process with private agencies and organizations, when the management in the Secretariat of Migrants is totally free and the only payment made by the beneficiaries is 185 dollars to the Government of the United States.
He indicated that Conofam is a public agency that integrates the secretariats, institutes and directorates of attention to migrants, which allows for greater attention in the programs that are managed for the benefit of the countrymen and their families.
He pointed out that in most municipalities there is a migrant liaison, director or councilor who has all the information to set up groups.
