Divididos returned to the temple of rock after 20 years

After 20 years, Divididos returned to play with two totally sold out dates at the Obras Sanitarias stadium, with an electrifying show, with an excess of rock thanks to the incredible mix generated by Ricardo Mollo’s viola, Diego Arnedo’s bass and Catriel Ciavarella’s drums. The show started after 9:30 p.m., but as soon as the lights went out the audience was ecstatic. It started with a video clip in the background and a minute later the Steamroller appeared on stage with drums and ponchos, to start the show with Haciendo Cola Para Nacer. As soon as Haciendo Cola Para Nacer ended, Mollo and Arnedo took off their ponchos and Catriel began to play the beginning of El 38, the audience went crazy and jumped to the rhythm of the classic rocker of Acariciando lo áspero. And they followed up with La Mosca Porteña with an incredible guitar solo, and Haciendo cosas raras. But in the return to the temple of rock they were not alone, in Sisters they were accompanied by Mike de Kapanga on guitar. Later, in Burrito, his bandmates Román and Diego also played drums and acoustic guitar, respectively, while Arnedo played harmonica and Catriel played bass. Diego Arnedo and his historic bass | Around the middle of the show, they played Tajo C and Mollo recalled: “This was the last song we played the last time we were here. We had three albums. But now we’re younger and we’re going to play a little bit more.” As it could not be otherwise, they played the famous and long-awaited medley: Madley “Sumo”. Every time Divididos plays, the audience expects to hear something from the mythical band that Arnedo and Mollo formed back in 1980 along with Luca, Alberto Troglio, Germán Daffunchio and Roberto Pettinato. “At the entrance of the show there was a party atmosphere, all together waiting for the show to start, sharing a beer or chatting. Many families: parents and children, but also siblings, partners, cousins and, of course, friends. A woman, who happened to be coming with her 20-year-old son to see the Steamroller, said that the first time she saw them was in Vélez after following them as a young man and that from that day on she only thought about seeing them again. Many of my friends don’t know what it’s like to go to a concert with their parents, I think I have more concerts with my mother than alone,” said the young man, because yes, rock is also family, the encounter with the other. A group of brothers came up to us and said, “We’re here for the head, he was the one who brought us and introduced us to this band.” The older brother, the one who was named “the head”, recalled that the first time he went to Obras he went to see a foreign band, he went out and found a magazine “Generación X” with Ricardo Mollo sunning on the cover and he told his cousin that he wanted to go see the band, from there he did not stop following them. Rosario was always close,” said two friends who came to see them from Rosario and returned that same night to their home province. The show lasted about three hours, with a spectacular sound, despite the fact that Mollo confessed that in the middle of the recital they had problems with some equipment -which burned- but went almost unnoticed. The complement of Catriel’s drums, with Ricardo’s guitar and Diego’s bass, is a must for all those rock lovers.
