Gunmen shoot a snack shop in the Revolution Extension – MonitorExpresso.com

Uruapan, Michoacán.- Armed criminals attacked with gunfire a business selling snacks, located a few meters from Latinoamericana Avenue, in the Ampliación Revolución neighborhood, in the city of Uruapan, where only material damage was reported.
It transpired that at 9:00 a.m. the gunmen arrived aboard a vehicle and fired repeatedly at the façade of the business, on Cuernavaca Street, and then fled at full speed.
The detonations were heard by neighbors who, alarmed, reported what happened to the emergency number, so elements of different police corporations moved to the site, whose officers found at least 10 shell casings.
It transpired that the attack left no victims. Finally, experts from the Attorney General’s Office arrived in the area to undertake the corresponding investigations.
During the last few days in Uruapan there have been acts of violence against businesses, just the previous Thursday 3 lots selling vehicles were set on fire, in what is presumed to be a form of pressure by criminals, to force the owners to agree to some type of extortion.
