The success of “The Snow Society” also made it to Spotify

Netflix premiered the new Spanish production by director Juan Antonio García Bayona entitled “La Sociedad de la Nieve”, a dramatic film that narrates the odyssey that Uruguayan rugby players lived in the tragedy of the Andes in 1972.The success of this film went beyond cinemas and platforms: it also reached Spotify, the main streaming platform, where the podcast of El País Uruguay “Andes. 72 Days on the Mountain” has strengthened in the rankings. It is currently ranked #3 of the most listened to podcasts on Spotify Argentina, while it is ranked sixth in Colombia and #9 in Spain. This documentary includes eye-opening interviews with all the survivors and even some family members. In the same vein, the episode “Vivirla” of the original podcast “La Cruda” stands out, where Carlitos Páez Bilaró tells his heartbreaking story in the snow, at an altitude of 4,000 meters and with temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees below zero. Such is the interest in this event that today, more than two years after the premiere of the episode, it is the most listened to on Spotify Argentina. From Filo News we made a special content about the film, by the hand of the journalist Antonella Morello. How is the film narrated? What was the process of writing the script like? How were the recordings? You can see everything in the video.
