Mimi Alvarado revealed that she suffers from Panda depression: “I’ve been medicated for 12 years”

Today, Mimi Alvarado, girlfriend of “El Tirri”, was invited to talk about the wedding of Candelaria Tinelli and Coti Sorokin that took place last weekend. However, a mental health report led her to recount her experience and reveal that she suffers from the “Panda Depression”. “I’ve been medicated for 12 years, when I was working with Franco on Confrontados. It’s because of a level of anxiety that I have, which I think is genetic, I inherited it from my grandmother,” she began explaining. And she added: “I come from the Caribbean where everyone is happy, it is not so common to see a person who takes medication,” she said and continued: “Before coming to Argentina, as a little girl I came with mambos because I went to school and did not speak. I was very shy and they had to change my school, my dad was very worried,” she said. “After that I became a bit of a hypochondriac, I saw a person who was half blind and I thought I was going to go blind.”she said, and then recalled that she had a cousin who was sick with cancer who was undergoing chemotherapy and she feared she would have the same thing.” I was a 12-year-old girl and he said that his hair was falling out and I didn’t understand what chemotherapy was, when a strand fell out I thought I had cancer, AIDS, any disease,” she said. And he revealed about what he felt at the time: “I overthought things a lot and that generates stress and that’s when you start to get depressed. I came home from school crying thinking that I was going to die, that the world was going to end, but one day my mom told me ‘if you keep crying like this you’re going to go crazy’ and I thought so much that I said ‘I’m going to go crazy’,” she said. At the same time, he said: “before coming to Argentina I was 22 years old and a neighbor next door to my house had a heart attack and I began to feel things and I began to think that I was going to die and that gave me such strong stress that I had a panic attack that was super unknown to me.” It was then that he went to a psychiatrist who gave him an answer to his suffering: “When I went, they detected panda depression, which is a depression that comes from so much overthinkingAnd not because someone died or anything like that,” he said. To close, she revealed that she has another appointment with the psychiatrist soon, since she feels that she is uneven and may have to change medication: “I have an appointment with a psychiatrist because lately I have been very irritated. I control myself and I know my body a lot.” And she concluded: “The brain gets sick, the nervous system is damaged, I am medicated until the end of my days because without that pill that I take my energy is very high and it would explode through the air.”
