The President assured that he is negotiating funds to speed up the exit from the stocks

In the midst of a new legislative setback for the government, President Javier Milei revealed on Friday that he was working on the creation of a pool of credits for a total of US$15,000 million to accelerate the exit from the clamp and the competition of currencies. The president explained that there are open negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), but added that to reach that amount, contributions from other multilateral organizations, countries and “private investors” could also be added. The Economy Ministry is negotiating a new agreement with the IMF. If the conditions are satisfactory, we could move forward. What we did in our administration puts us in an unbeatable situation because we reduced the deficit by 11 points, of which five correspond to the Treasury and six to the BCRA,” he said. In his statements to the radio The Network, reiterated that in the event that this plan does not prosper, the exit from the clamps could take place by the middle of the year, in line with the IMF’s estimates. Regarding the economic situation, Milei said that Argentina is going through “the hardest month” and warned that this situation will extend “to the first days of April.” However, he reiterated that while “people are clear that they are having a very hard time, they believe that there is a way out.”
