Italian designer Roberto Cavalli dies at 83

Italian designer Roberto Cavalli died Friday at the age of 83 in his hometown of Florence, the fashion company that bears his name said in an Instagram post. The designer leaves behind six children from his three marriages. The latter was born in 2023.Passionate about fashion and coming from an aristocratic family, the designer patented a leather printing process in the 70s and began to create patchworks of materials and colors. In addition, in that decade he presented his first collection in Paris, becoming one of the international references of haute couture. In September 2015, Roberto Cavalli starred in his last fashion show and, that same year, he handed over control of his firm to the investment fund Clessidra.
