The government plans to impose anti-picketing protocol on the university march

In the midst of a climate of tension with the universities, communications between the Ministers of National Security, Patricia Bullrich, and of the City, Waldo Wolff, are intensifying, as they have the objective of maintaining their position of preventing cuts. According to La Nación, the Ministry of Security confirmed that “if there is one thing it does not have, it is a double standard. We are going to maintain our line of action. Let’s see how many there are. We maintain the (anti-picketing) protocol, we will see what happens with the number of people, the idea is always that there is the least amount of inconvenience possible for the citizens.” In addition, the Executive shows its dissatisfaction with the realization of the march, considering it a “barbarity” and “a total lack of codes”, despite the recent news on the expansion of the budget. The conflict between the university sector and the national government has been increasing in recent weeks, centered on the discussion of the budget for the area and the complaint about the lack of updating. Despite the dialogue, discontent grew, fueled by what some see as a smear campaign on social media. The march, which is expected to be of large proportions, concentrates different sectors at different points, which increases the complications for compliance with the protocol. The unrest in the ranks of the National Government was such that attempts were made to cancel the march, according to academic referents to the aforementioned media.
