translated from Spanish: Adds 17 assemblies elba Esther Gordillo’s network

Mexico, Mexico.-The Group Progressive Social Networks (RSP) on Sunday accredited its 17th state assembly, of at least 20 required, to become a national political party.

The event, attended by 5 thousand 930 affiliates, was held at the Arena Itson in Ciudad Obregón, in the Municipality of Cajeme, Sonora.

The national commissioner of RSP, René Fujiwara Montelongo, stated that this new organization wants to be a different party from the others.

“We are a new generation party that no longer wants to organize in a traditional way, we don’t want to be a party of structures, we don’t want to be a tribes party, we don’t want to be a game of cadres,” he said.

We want to be a party of human networks, that reach every community that can have that deep social contact with people and that can change the way politics is done in the country.”

According to the latest report of the National Electoral Institute (INE), RSP has 302 thousand 481 members nationwide through
assemblies and digital application.

In addition to Sonora, the entities where the assemblies have not been accredited are Tabasco, Querétaro, Chiapas, Campeche, Nuevo León, Durango, Hidalgo, Sinaloa, Veracruz, State of Mexico, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Guerrero, Puebla, Morelos and Michoacán.
Organizations seeking to become a political party must accredit at least 233,945 affiliates and hold assemblies in at least 20 entities with at least 3,000 attendees in each or 200 electoral districts with at least 300 present.
