Act for the 30th anniversary of the AMIA attack: Milei and the rest of the Cabinet will participate

President Javier Milei will attend this Thursday the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the attack against the AMIA headquarters, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of OnceIt will be after the Government declared Hamas a terrorist organization and after the threat from Iran through an editorial published in a media that presents itself as the voice of the Islamic Revolution.The president will arrive in the morning at the headquarters of the entity on Pasteur Street, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Once, and will be located in the first row, in front of the building. As every year, the event at the AMIA will begin at 9:53 a.m. coinciding with the time of the attack, when the sirens will be sounded, with the participation of relatives of the victims and international presences, including the president of Paraguay, Santiago Peña.The speakers will be the president of the AMIA, Amos Linetzky, and a group of relatives of the fatal victims of the attack. The event will be conducted by actress Stefi Roitman, who was chosen to participate in the ceremony because she was born on July 18, 1994, the date on which the attack took place. Roitman turns 30 this Thursday and was chosen to symbolize the passage of time and what three decades of life mean. The musical moment will be in charge of the singer Axel.National mourningThe Government enacted this judge Law 27744 that declares July 18 of each year as a Day of National Mourning in tribute to the victims of the attack. This law, approved last year by Congress, provides that every July 18 the national flag remains flown at half-mast in buildings and public places. In addition, it establishes that the Ministry of Education, through the Federal Council of Education and in coordination with the educational authorities of the provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, shall provide the necessary means for public primary and secondary education establishments of state and private management to organize and develop commemorative activities for that date.
