After in an interview, Andrónico Luksic performed a controversial description of the middle class, the employer clarified his sayings using a response on Twitter.
In a conversation with La Tercera, Luksic said that the middle class Chilean “has grown tremendously and what interests him is to continue to improve their life condition and they have already achieved it. This benefit that today, that guarantee that today day, the possibility to travel, to have a second car, the possibility of having a House on the beach. No one can say that this country has not progressed”.
Received criticism and through a message in social networks, Luksic said that “I used a very bad example, it is right (in allusion to a user), but contend that it is ignoring reality, deny that the progress of Chile has allowed many families access to a better” standard life and millions of poverty”.
“I wanted to say that the growth in Chile has enabled millions of people progress and that the middle class can access to a better quality of life than previous generations,” he said in a subsequent message.
