Mexico City.- The former head of advisors and former director of Social Communication of the Secretariat of Agricultural, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu) during the management of Rosario Robles, Ramón Sosamontes, was denied the final suspension of the amparo trial to avoid to be arrested and imprisoned in case an arrest warrant will be released against him, for the alleged diversion of public resources known as the “Master Scam”. Jesús Alberto Chávez Hernández, the thirteenth judge of the District of Amparo in Criminal Matters of Mexico City, issued the decision based on articles 125,128,138,144 and 146 of the Amparo Law, regarding trial 621/2019.

The former official served as head of the Office of Advisers both in the Secretariat of Social Development (Sedesol), and in the Agricultural, Territory and Urban Development (Sedatu), when the former head of government, Rosario Robles, served as head of both Dependencies. It also arose from a new complaint against the former Secretary of Sedesol and Sedatu, Rosario Robles Berlanda, who prepares the Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, for the alleged signing of 105 additional agreements exceeding the 800 million pesos.
