Hundreds of women in the Plurinational Feminist Assembly, created under the eaves of the social outburst of the last week in Chile, met on Monday in front of the National Library with a clear demand: «to flatly reject terrorism or state that today exercises the government of Sebastián Piñera». All present gathered to denounce that, in the last 10 days, «this government has systematically violated human rights, imprisoning, causing pain, injuring, violating and murdering, in a model of patriarchal and neoliberal exploitation, which structurally promotes sexual political violence.» We are politically responsible to this government. We call on the community of international organizations for the promotion and protection of human rights to ask the administration of Sebastián Piñera to be held accountable for the abuses of the DDs. HH perpetuated during his tenure, including the deaths of social activists such as Camilo Catrillanca, Macarena Valdés and Alejandro Castro. That is why today we demand: No more state terrorism,» the members of the Plurinational Feminist Assembly said through their new declaration. Following the significant event, the assembly headed to the outskirts of the Palace of Courts, in order to support a rally organized by the Federation of Students of the University of Chile that sought to make the many and repeated violations of the Human Rights in our country.» This Feminist Assembly will continue to work for truth and justice, so that impunity is over and we have political leaders for the atrocities that seek that the people shut down and ignore them occurred during the greatest social outburst we have seen in democracy,» they argued.
