The local member stated that the request for this information also seeks that the Legislative Branch should have all the information necessary to analyze, discuss and, if appropriate, approve the Municipal Revenue Laws of each of the 113 municipalities of Michoacán.
Meppresident Teresa Mora stated that there is too much opacity in the amounts of money raised by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) for the collection of DAP, through electricity receipts, and that by the agreements concluded with the municipalities, there are no reports of municipal treasury are available of the amounts of money they raise from DAP, through the predial ballots.
“The most serious thing about DAP is that the municipalities do not report the costs that represent their administrations to provide the public lighting service, elements that are essential and must be known to achieve a true administrative efficiency, consistent, with clear accountability and sound finances,” he added.
Mora Covarrubias emphasized that this also aims to recover and strengthen the taxpayers’ payment confidence for the services they receive from municipalities, so he said, it is urgent to address this issue in this LXXIV legislature and not to turn the issue around and not to turn the issue around as the previous ones have done.
