Morelia, Michoacán.- Through a statement it was reported that the administration headed by the municipal president, Raúl Morón Orozco, held on Tuesday dialogue tables with various sectors in order to establish in the public agenda 2020-2021, actions to favor of the women’s population sector.
Instances such as the Union, and units such as the Secretariat for Economic Development, the Ministry of Culture, Morelia Police, the Municipal Women’s Institute for Substantive Equality and Poliforum in close ties with universities and the sector they coordinated five working tables aimed at learning about the various issues of women in Morelia, to generate proposals that respond to these needs.
“Vulnerable Groups”, “Security and Violence against Women”, “Youth, Education and Culture”, “Health”, “Work, Entrepreneurship and Indigenous Women” as well as the “Single Municipal Instrument with Gender Perspective” were the themes of these Work.
Some of the results of this activity were to promote the products of indigenous women, support for the economic empowerment of middle-class women, the integral work of breeding, the development of women’s networks in cultural sectors, establishing cultural centres as violence-free places, the importance of working on the awareness of the victims among others that will later be made known.
With these working tables which are part of the actions of awareness, conferences and union between citizens, Morelia becomes a municipality aimed at generating a substantive equality, with ideal, fair and risk-free conditions for women, to stimulate their growth in different areas.
