translated from Spanish: Did they give you a fake bill? You can now report it to the SAT

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) launched a tool to denounce companies that issue false invoices, the problem of which leaves losses of 400 billion pesos per year to the public treasury.
To this end, the agency issued a number of requirements to guide those who decide to show to those companies that host non-existent operations and can be consulted here.
According to article 69-B Ter of the Federation Tax Code (CFF) and its Rule, users must provide the Federal Taxpayer Registry (RFC) reported and the name, reason or social name thereof.

To this should be added detailed description of the facts that it reports, by providing the circumstances so (how it happened), time (when it happened) and place (where it happened).
The position of the complainant in relation to other contributors involved in the simulated operations scheme should also be specified.
It stated that the foregoing should be accompanied by full name, telephone number, e-mail address and the electronic file containing the documentation relating to the information provided.
In this document it is necessary to illustrate the scheme of operation used by the reporting taxpayer, by indicating the folio number assigned through the email address [email protected] within five business days of the person recording your complaint.

“The information provided shall be sufficient to prove, directly or indirectly, the absence of assets, personnel, infrastructure or material capacity of the taxpayer that is reported and carried out the issuance, disposal or acquisition of tax receipts covering non-existent transactions,” the agency emphasized on its portal.
To find out if an invoice is false or not certified by the SAT you can log into its site in the Electronic Invoice section, where you select Verify your invoices.
There you must enter the RFC of the person issuing the invoice and the RFC of the taxpayer who receives it. If valid it may be printed, otherwise it will be indicated that it is not registered with the tax authority.
