Through an information card, the Ministry of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City explained that the facts were reported by a 26-year-old woman, who asked them for support in the area.

Alleged police will be investigated by SSC and Prosecutor’s Office
The policemen were intercepted by the woman, who reported that a man threatened her with a knife, dragged her inside the park and began touching her without her consent.
The man, who was half-naked, noticing the police presence began to run, but after a brief persecution he was arrested.
The whistleblower fully recognized the man as his aggressor, who identified himself as a pBI staff.
According to reports from the newspaper Reforma, the detainee said he was working out in the park and was waiting for his girlfriend.
Officers searched a white van, allegedly from the detainee, and found his police uniform and a credential that proves him as an SSC worker.

The detained man was made available to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Central Prosecutor’s Office for the Care of Sexual Offences, where his legal status will be determined.
The SSC, in turn, initiated a research folder in the Directorate General of Internal Affairs, with the aim of collaborating with the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City for the corresponding, administrative and criminal sanction of the element.
