CDMX.- As an incentive to spend the day at home during quarantine by Covid-19, the Mexican Government’s Ministry of Culture offers “Contigo in the Distance”, a virtual platform that offers a wide selection of free cultural material. On the site created by the government, you can find: sound archives, interviews, workshops, photo galleries, videos, books, tours and other resources.
The aim of this strategy is for people to be able to exercise their right to culture, but without the need to break the healthy distance leaving the home. Some of the outstanding elements/activities are poetic cartography, a series of brochures to spread art, indigenous languages, traditional knowledge and popular culture of Mexico.Another good option, especially if you like national cuisine, is the digital recipe of sadness and other melancholy, or the Cartography of flavors, which in its first edition speaks of thatlites. For girls and boys there is also content, video capsules, even in cartoons; they present themes such as the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, the Fort of San Diego, the National Museum of World Cultures; in addition to other interactive resources.
