Guadalajara.-The president of the College of Civil Engineers of the State of Jalisco (CICEJ), Bernardo Sáenz, considered that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador shows a high degree of ignorance when referring to the construction professionals. During his morning conference, the Mandate said that engineers and architects have a hard time accepting that people can make a road or a house without them.
“No, Mr. President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, it is not that it hurts that a road or a house can be built without a civil engineer,” Sáenz said.
“What hurts us, Mr President, is your high degree of ignorance about the value of the technical aspects, but above all, the zero importance to the professionalist and his daily effort; that effort that is also one of parents and college teachers, given the few opportunities the country offers to achieve a professional degree.” He reiterated that Jalisco’s civil engineers will not let their guard down, because these statements affect not only the engineer working on the job, but also the knowledge of the classroom, which involves effort, work and sacrifice.
“From the College of Civil Engineers of the State of Jalisco A.C. – CICEJ, we make a new call to demand respect from the professionals, that we are proudly Mexican and that every day we work for social development,” the leader concluded.
