In the framework of the recent health report issued by the authorities of the city of La Plata, the new contagions were made known in the face of the advance of coronavirus in the country, totaling 505 cases and 18 deaths.
Among those infected, the infections were two minors: a 10-month-old baby with no epidemiological history and a 2-year-old girl who developed symptoms such as fever, diarrhea and abdominal pain. The baby is admitted to the Sor Maria Ludovica Children’s Hospital, isolated with her parents after having expressed discomfort and trouble swallowing. Hours later he had the swab, which finally tested positive.

The 2-year-old girl arrived in Nueva Clínica del Niño de La Plata also with symptoms, in this case fever, diarrhoea and abdominal pain so they made her a nasopharyngeal swab, which subsequently confirmed her positive diagnosis.

These cases add to the wave of contagions to which the authorities prepare as they assess measures to extend quarantine, which was temporarily estimated until 28 June. Currently, conoravirus figures in Argentina record a total of 44,931 infected, 1,049 fatalities and 13,576 recovered.
