translated from Spanish: Briones admits technical problems but claims 415 thousand applications have been accepted from the middle class bond

The Minister of Finance, Ignacio Briones, referred during this day to certain technical difficulties experienced in the process of applying to receive the middle class bond, noting that they are in consideration, and that despite the same more than 415 thousand applications were already approved, almost 24 hours after the process began. In that line he stated, using an audiovisual record, that “Today at 4:30 p.m. there were 415 thousand people approved for this benefit that will be paid in the coming days,” and took advantage of noting that “we have detected problems, there are problems, but they are in the way of being resolved and they will be completely reseated tomorrow Monday”. He also urged that there is a deadline until 31 August to complete the procedure. The bond can be up to 500 thousand pesos and is part of a package of measures that also include the possibility of obtaining a state solidarity loan for formal workers with an income drop of more than or equal to 30%, starting with a monthly average income from $400,000. It should be noted that this benefit can be acquired by a different range of persons, including dependent workers who are kept in the Cessation Insurance, who have agreed to reduce working hours or remuneration with their employer, who are currently stranded, individual employers and/or self-employed workers. And, within the requirements, the monthly average of all formal income during 2019 is requested to be equal to or greater than $400,000 and less than or equal to $2 million. To carry out the procedure you have to enter the website of the IBS with RUT and tax key, and if the application is approved, the deposit of the money will be made by the General Treasury of the Republic, within 10 working days, counted from the date of submission of the application.
