It was a bad Sunday day for Christiane Endler and Paris Saint-Germain. The Chilean archer and her squad lost the French Cup final by penalty kicks against Olympique de Lyon, where the Creole was the protagonist by tackling a shot but then losing hers, which may have been the one of consecration.
After the defeat, the Captain of the Red Woman expressed all her dissiness through her social networks by posting an emotional message.
“How cute football is, thousands of emotions in the same match, you go from euphoria to desolation from one second to another. If you ask me why football game is why, for living moments like this, nothing moves me like this, playing I feel alive,” he wrote “Tiane” on his Instagram account.
But the national added: “I’ll kick that penalty a thousand times more and it hurts me to have lost it, but I look forward to the rematch and best of all I know it’s going to come, because football always gives them to you. You win, you lose, but you always learn. To keep working hard as usual.”
Endler and Paris Saint-Germain will now prepare for the resumption of the French League, following inactivity from the coronavirus pandemic.
