The city’s mayor, Guillermo Montenegro, announced this week the return of restrictions to reduce the movement of people on commercial and coastal walks in the district. The decree envisages maintaining activities in industries, which may operate from Monday to Saturday from 6 to 16; in private works – of energy infrastructure, excavation, underpinning and demolition – from Monday to Saturday from 8 to 17; and in essential shops that can open daily from 7 to 20.
It maintains the qualification to work of professionals and technical graduates; services activities in general, such as service collection, hairdressing, aesthetics and the like; gastronomy with take away and delivery. From today and for 10 days you will also not be able to develop outdoor sports activities in public walks, parks, squares and the like, a ban that includes streets, avenues, Costanera and access to the beach. Recreational walks in the coastal area from Punta Iglesia to the roundabout of Constitution Avenue were suspended and only recreational outings are maintained 500 meters away from the home. Montenegro said that «activities in enclosed spaces, nor the use of public space, parks and beaches, including the Coastal Pedestrian Corridor, are not allowed from today Saturday.» «Only individual outdoor activity is enabled in clubs and sports centres according to the following detail: athletics on the court and with authorization (federal protocol), tennis (single and outdoor), paddle (single and outdoor), skateboard (in sports centers and clubs), individual physical activity (in sports villas and with instructor), skate schools (in open spaces and with instructor , according to federal protocol), open water swimming (authorized groups), canoeing, yachting and individual rowing (in clubs and with federal protocol)», explained the mayor and also authorizes cycling, surfing, sport fishing, badminton and table tennis (single and in open spaces) and golf.
