The deputy for the Labour Party (PT) Gerardo Fernández Noroña was attacked with eggs at a rally in the municipality of Singuilucan, Hidalgo.
“Outside Noroña, we don’t want you here,” one person said, according to the live broadcast shared by the legislator. Moments later, the eggs thrown towards the table where it was are observed.

Attendees of the rally supporting candidate Ana Luz Arista approached people, but Fernández Noroña asked that they avoid confronting them.

“Don’t assault them, don’t assault them, don’t assault them, don’t fall for provocation,” he said, and said it was the second event he was attacked with the aim of disbanding the meeting. “They came so terrified they didn’t get one right,” he said.
Fernández Noroña said that this was a priista technique and that the governor of the state, Omar Fayad, “is behind the aggressions and provocations to our meetings.”
On his Twitter account, he said there are two people in detention.

Last Sunday, at an event in Huichapan, Hidalgo, the PT mp was also attacked with eggs and tomatoes. Fernández Noroña then accused Emeterio Moreno Magos of mexico’s Green Ecological Party of organizing the attack.
