CDMX.- The Hoy No Circula Sabatino aims to restrict the free movement of cars on Saturdays in Mexico City and The State of Mexico, within the framework of a comprehensive program that seeks to control and reduce levels of environmental pollution. This Saturday, October 16, Today Does Not Circulate will apply to all cars with hologram 1, odd plate termination (1, 3, 5, 7 and 9) and all Holograms 2 as well as foreign ones. Hologram 0 and double 0 are exempt.

Hoy No Circula will operate in Mexico City and the municipalities of the State of Mexico, applying from 05:00 hours until 22:00 hours.

Why does Today Not Circulate apply?
The Environment Secretariat (Sedema) implements the Hoy No Circula programme in order to contribute to better air quality. In the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico, which includes the 16 mayors of Mexico City and in 18 conurbated municipalities of the State of Mexico (Atizapán de Zaragoza, Coacalco de Berriozábal, Cuautitlán, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Chalco, Chicoloapan, Chimalhuacán, Ecatepec de Morelos, Huixquilucan, Ixtapaluca, La Paz, Naucalpan de Juárez, Nezahualcóyotl, Nicolás Romero, Tecámac, Tlalneplantla de Baz, Tultitlán and Valle de Chalco).
