MEXICO CITY.- Federal Deputy Ignacio Campos Equihua reported that members of Morena’s parliamentary group endorsed the Fiscal Miscellaneous by 2021; which has as its main axis to continue the Federal Government’s strategy: to eradicate corruption by combating tax evasion and avoidance.
“The opinion provides for sanctions on taxpayers who do not pay their taxes, such as precautionary insurance of goods against related third parties, cancellation of registration to associations that profit from donations, and even blocking digital service platforms on the internet.”
The also secretary of the Committee on Budget and Public Account stressed that in Mexico the laws are being updated and financial forecasts are being planned, where it is planned to regularize the effective payment of taxes by taxpayers.
Campos Equihua stated that in accession to have the technological tools for the use of the tax authority, it is feasible because it gives legal certainty for the benefit of those who tax, to give them legal certainty.
“We have one of the poorest tax collections in the world, the opposition left this country in ruins, and we want to lift it up from the ashes, for the good of all,” he said.
He therefore indicated that the Committee on Finance and Public Credit sent the opinions reforming, adding and repealing various provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Value Added Tax Act, the Special Tax on Production and Services Act and the Federation Tax Code, to the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies for the purposes of legislative programming.
