Doses against sarS CoV-2 virus have begun to be applied in Michoacán just as it is living its worst time of the pandemic because the hospital occupation for the care of patients with COVID-19 at the state level is 53% and in Morelia reached 96 percent this Thursday, January 14, while the occupation of converted beds for patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Infections (IRAG) of the SSM , in IMSS and ISSSTE is 100%.

In response to the high saturation of hospitals, the Secretary of State Health requests Covid patients to dial 800 123 2890 or emergency line 911 before going to a hospital to be told where to go in order to receive medical care. Although the first Pfizer vaccines against Covid-19 have arrived in Michoacán, these will currently only be applied to health sector employees who are caring for patients infected with sarS CoV-2 virus, so Governor Silvano Aureoles Conejo asks the population to continue to abide by all health protocols to prevent further spread of the pandemic. In order to stop contagion and thus curb the saturation of hospitals, since 4 January, the governor of Michoacán urgently ordered the implementation of more stringent health protocols in the entity, this being 10 January on the first Sunday of 2021 when the shops had to close their doors in at least 47 of the 133 municipalities that make up the entity. “Doctors, nurses, health workers are being vaccinated. second, older adults; third, chronically ill people with hypertension, diabetes, obesity; then the rest of the population, according to age”

Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador explained about the process that will take place in the country until April, for which they estimate all adults over the age of 60 should be vaccinated. On January 8, during his tour of Michoacán, the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), announced that in addition to the arrival of these vaccines (1 million 420 thousand doses throughout January) the purchase of around 120 million other doses is already agreed to be applied universally and free of charge to all Mexicans. For his part, Chancellor Marcel Ebrard also reported that by January 18 AstraZeneka vaccines would arrive in the country, which, together with Argentina, will be embedded and distributed in Latin America for the subsequent application of citizens.

Color of flags by municipality
According to the dynamics presented since May 30, the economic revival of the state of Michoacán would be watered under colored flags and these flags would indicate to society what activities could be carried out, in addition to informing what is the status of the municipality before the Coronavirus pandemic. The meaning of each color is as follows:
Red Flag: The status is at the maximum point of contagion and the activities that are carried out or the services that were activated, will only be able to work at a capacity of 25%.
Yellow flag: the entity is at a high point of contagion and that although the activity continues to resume, this will be done gradually in order to avoid returning to red.
Green Flag: the risk of contagion is low, at this stage businesses and companies that can resume activities are expanded, but with the quota of a maximum of 75 percent of their capacity.
White Flag: the risk of contagion is controlled and will only be subject to constant monitoring through daily registration in modules that analiize respiratory diseases.

Until January 10 a municipality has a red flag (Morelia), 6 are in yellow (La Piedad, Lázaro Cárrdenas, Pátzcuaro, Uruapan, Zamora and Zitácuaro ), 23 have green flag and the rest are white flag which is the level of lower risk of contagion and therefore indicates a greater economic reactivation.

Each municipality displays the color of the flag on which each michoacán ammunition is located, which was issued by the State Health Secretariat. (Capture)

Below we share the steps and rules that business sectors authorized to open their doors must follow and respect pear avoid being sanctioned with definitive closures:
Respecting health protocols in all sectors
Conduct health assessments to understand the conditions staff are in
Monitor the contagion curve (in the event of a new outbreak, activities will close again and return to confinement)
Responsibility on the part of Michoacans to comply with these rules, otherwise companies that do not abide by these rules of ‘New Coexistence’ will be closed

Silvano Aureoles, highlighted that even if the work begins to be reactivated, that does not mean that the disease does not exist or there is no longer a risk of contagion, on the contrary, I say that Michoacán is still immersed in the pandemic and that is why you should not let your guard down. It also clarified that if contagions begin to rebound as a result of economic reopening, the activities already allowed would be suspended again, falling once again into house isolation.
