The Federal Commission for the Protection of Health Risks (Cofepris) alerted the population to the product “Biotiquín”, which does not have a health register or studies to support its safety or efficacy.
This product, he warned, is falsely touted as an auxiliary to decrease COVID symptoms.
It is also promoted to change the PCR test result from positive to negative.

In a statement, the Cofepris detailed that “Biotiquín” is advertised irregularly on the Internet and television programs, without having authorization to do so.

The detected presentations of this product are: Regular, Special and Mega, with content of 125 milliliters.
“Any product that holds its benefits to act against COVID-19 and is for sale on social media, the internet, television or any other means of information, poses a risk to the health of the population because it is of dubious provenance,” he said.
Cofepris has not issued a health record to any COVID-19 product, with the exception of vaccines currently applied in accordance with the SARS-CoV-2 National Virus Vaccination Policy.
It also asked the population, if they had used the product “Biotiquín”, to report any adverse reactions or discomfort on the page of Cofepris, VigiFlow, eReporting, or through mail [email protected].
