Of the main projects under discussion in Congress – 10% withdrawal, mining royalty, supertric tax and euthanasia – the Government has not managed in any way to take his pulse and conduct it according to his own interests, on the contrary, the track has become increasingly adverse to him.
Thus, given the fact that La Moneda had its political agenda totally lost, from the General Secretariat of Communications (Secom) they devised a plan to try to reverse the problem.
Last week they cited a meeting of all the press chiefs of the different ministries to propose a “new” way of dealing with the negative image that – according to themselves they found in that conversation – the Government of Sebastián Piñera has in most media notes.
The Secom solution would be to make the Government more entertaining, so they expressly asked the press chiefs of the various ministries, in the forthcoming field outings of the various secretaries of state, to take this concept into mind: to make “entertaining guidelines”.
A “communication descent” that was not entirely clear in the various ministries, especially when La Moneda’s problems are in substance – the management of the pandemic and the economic crisis stemted from it – and do not happen to make the authorities appear more friendly.
