The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, fired Mario Meoni with a heartfelt letter that went up to his Instagram account along with several photographs of them two sharing political spaces and personal moments.
The officials were great friends. Meoni was one of the figures of the Renewing Front, a Peronist-oriented political party founded by Massa himself who joined the Front of All to form the coalition that won last presidential election.
“Dear friend: You’re not there anymore. Fate played a bad trick on you. But it’s quiet. I saw Laura whole and your friends next to her. I saw the Melli repeating your phrases, always optimistic about what’s to come. And I told all three of them I’m going to be the way you were by my side,” the Argentine lawyer and politician began.
He also recalled his beginnings in politics when he met Meoni and they entered into a deep relationship of mutual affection: “Remembering those hours that as little ones, you by UCR I for the PJ expected sessions in the legislature being the youngest in that 2000 bravo. I’m going to accompany yours as you accompanied me in every one we faced. Battles won, battles lost. Always friends,” the president of the lower house continued.
