On Tuesday, social leader Juan Grabois was expelled from Colombia after being detained at the airport for migration for a few hours. As reported on his social media, Grabois traveled to the country as part of the Observation and Solidarity Mission to “travel the territory” and “relieve if there are human rights violations”. Once landed in Colombia, he was arrested by Migration and made known on Twitter through a video showing the department supervisor saying, “We have the sovereignty to choose who enters and who does not enter our country.”
“Arrested and assaulted again by an authoritarian government. Now in a little room. waiting. My fellow Argentinians and Colombians trying to solve outside, we’re not afraid! The Great Fatherland is standing,” Grabois wrote, accompanying the video. A few hours later, the social leader received the news that he should return to Argentina, a decision he also made known in his profile.” After a series of physical assaults recorded by numerous witnesses and security cameras, the Colombian government expels me from its territory,” he explained.
