The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) announced that it will hold a tax fair between May 26 and 28, inclusive, due to health measures provided by the national government. This provides for the suspension of the calculation of the time limits in force in ex officio determinations, summaries, fines, disclaimers, inaccuracies and closures but different audit procedures will be maintained, as announced by the entity. The procedures exempted from the tax fair include audits linked to solidarity and extraordinary contribution, audits made on the basis of information provided by the OECD, as well as information from the exchange of information under international agreements and conventions.
In addition, procedures related to the Transfer Pricing Regime, electronic audits are exempt; non-in-person checks and checks that are processed entirely online. General Resolution No. 4999, to be published in the Official Gazette, establishes the validity of a new tax fair in the context of the aggravation of the epidemiological situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. “The agency’s decision is in line with movement-restriction measures aimed at protecting the health of the population, mitigating the spread of the virus and preventing the collapse of the health system arranged by the national government,” it was announced.
