translated from Spanish: Scotiabank Chile releases tenth version of its “Entrepreneurial Award”

Gender equity and strengthening the role of women in all areas of society are strategic pillars in Scotiabank Chile’s Diversity and Inclusion Policy. In this context and for the tenth consecutive year, the Bank will deliver the “Entrepreneurial Award”, which aims to recognize and enhance women’s talent and good management in business, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises in the country. Historically, through this initiative Scotiabank Chile has awarded women who have dared to start their own company. This year, in order to give greater visibility to the female contribution to SMEs, women who are part of the decision-making team and who play a key role in the success of the business will also be able to apply. In addition, all applicants will be participating in one of the 100 places for courses and trainings taught by leaders of the entrepreneurship world, whose themes will be defined by the same applicants and designed based on their needs. Nominations will be open until next Wednesday, June 23 through: www.premioemprendedora.cl and the winners will be announced in August. All natural persons of the national territory who feel identified with the female gender, Chilean national or with definitive residence in the country, whose businesses are at least one year old and bill up to UF 100,000 per year, may participate. Since its inception, this recognition has summoned nearly 32,000 entrepreneurs from different regions of the country and awarded 73 women, whose stories have been an example of perseverance and business vision.
