translated from Spanish: Tobias Viloch, the champion of the FIFA 21 TNT Sports Cup

During this morning we had the pleasure of contacting one of the best players in the country, it is the player Tobias Viloch, who represents the violet organization 9Z Team. The 18-year-old comes from being crowned champion in the TNT Sports Cup and tells us how it is current:Filo.News: How were your beginnings in esports? Tobias Viloch: I compete since FIFA 19, at the end of 2018, where I participated in the Esuperliga representing Huracán. However, I had had a previous competitive experience, in FIFA 18, when I qualified for a face-to-face tournament at the offices of TyC Sports.F.N: Today you represent 9Z What was the time you signed with them? T: My beginnings in 9z were after winning the tournament hosted by the AFA in November 2019 (AFA Esports). That event was being covered as journalist Kevin Aiello, who two weeks later entered 9z as sports director. At that time, the institution was looking for a FIFA player and my name came up, they contacted me and a month later I was already inside the club. It all happened two weeks after I won my first title, crazy, something I would never have imagined. F.N: The renowned FIFA game dates back years, from what point did you start playing it? Did you ever think about getting to where you are today? T: In my early years, around 2012/2013, I came to FIFA through my cousins, several years older than me. I liked him PES, but playing with them I realized that FIFA had more fun for me. From there, FIFA 13, I played all editions of the game, it was always my favorite.
When I grew up and watched the international tournaments, I dreamed of getting there, but I saw it as impossible. As time went on I began to see him with different eyes, knowing that I could achieve it since he had an above-average level of players. I played a lot but I also had facilities since I was a kid. When I played with my friends or cousins, I almost always won.

F.N: How was your performance in this 2021 edition? T: In this FIFA, I had several tournaments. At the regional level, I participated in all the FIFA Global Series qualifiers organized by EA. We also played the Club World Cup qualifier with Santino, my teammate. At the national level, I played the tournament organized by AGS and the tournaments of the ELPF (Official Virtual League of the Professional League of Argentine football). I had a lot of preparation throughout the year, although there were times when several tournaments came together and I had to train twice as much.
F.N: What is life like for a professional FIFA player? T: His day-to-day as a FIFA professional is quite different from how you think he is. In my case, when I am in competition, I usually have English or Portuguese classes in the morning, and in the afternoon I train between 2 and 3 hours. Training is not only based on playing matches, but also on analyzing opponents and reviewing my own matches with my coach. Added to this, I try to exercise and maintain a balanced diet. We also have sessions with a psychologist and kinesiologist. All these tools are offered by 9z to all its players. F.N: Going into what this last tournament was like, explain to me how the formatT was: The TNT tournament had different stages. In the first, a Swiss system was played, where you had to win 6 consecutive matches, with the particularity that each match we play against an opponent with your same record. In the second stage where only 16 players managed to pass, 8 direct elimination crossings were played, where the winners formed two groups of 4 participants. In stage 3, it had a Round-Robin system, two single-match group stages. Where from each group 2 participants qualified, which played semifinals and final round trip. The entire tournament lasted more than a month, with Twitch streaming with reporters, commentators and cameras. A very professional production. F.N: It was commented that it was a different game mode than the normal one, can you explain it? T: The gameplay of this tournament is global average 90. All players from whatever the club have a rating of 90, differentiating their statistics only by the position where they play. On the other hand, in all the previous tournaments in which I participated, the Ultimate Team modality was used. There everyone can put together their own team with the players they want, for example, you can have Messi and Mbappe together. Each player has their rating and stats, which generates more dynamic matches than in the 90.F.N: At some point did you think you were going to reach the final? T: In the first stage of the tournament, I managed to advance from phase only in the third qualifier. In the previous two I couldn’t passstage ar,
I thought it was going to be impossible to win it, it was a totally different modality to what I was used to. I had moments of anger and frustration over that but I was able to adapt and my level was growing.

F.N: How does it feel to be a champion? T: Being champion of this tournament was an incredible thing, especially because of the irregular results I had been having. It was a relief and I was very happy, knowing also that it was a super difficult tournament because of its modality, the prize and the participants that there were. F.N: Do you look good for the upcoming tournaments? T: In the next tournaments I look very good, with renewed energy, eager to face the regional tournament of TNT to be able to be the champion of South America representing not only 9z but also my country. F.N: What do you think is your goal as a professional player today? Today in FIFA, my biggest goal is to win a World Cup, it is the maximum achievement for any player. It still sounds like something impossible, but I have no doubt that day by day I work to at some point have the possibility of concretizing it.
