Doctor Beatriz Hernández Ruíz died hours after being arrested by police from the municipality of Progreso de Obregón, in Hidalgo, following a traffic accident on the afternoon of June 9.
Witnesses to the crash and the arrest of the young woman recorded the moment at least three police officers forced her to enter the patrol after the road mishap.
The Attorney General’s Office of Hidalgo had initiated the investigation folder for the case, under the protocol of femicide.
