Nuevo Leon.- The appearance of a socavón was reported this Friday by the government of Nuevo Leon because of the risk it could represent for drivers. The fault occurred on the side of the Zaragoza-Aramberri road at kilometer 2.5 at the height of the Joya de Alardin community in Zaragoza Nuevo León.

It was mentioned that near the socavón approximately 80 meters away are two homes, while the dimensions of it are still unknown since so far the depth has not been measured. Read more: Rescue 110 Central American migrants in Tamaulipas, MexicoThe state government said that so far they are evaluating the socavón, however they have not found obvious risks for the Joya Alardin community that is made up of approximately nine homes located on a nearby hill. Faced with the possible risk that the sink could have caused a collapse under the road, authorities diverted traffic to a gap about 30 meters from the geological fault.
