Norway’s Martin Odegaard is rejoining Arsenal on a permanent loan, having been on loan at the London side for the past six months. The 22-year-old midfielder has been transferred to the English team for 40 million euros and will have a link until 2026.Odegaard played during the last stretch of last season with the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid.In the institution he played a total of 20 games and scored two goals. The 22-year-old began his career in Norway withStromsgodset, where he made his debut at the age of 15 in April 2014, becoming the youngest player to feature in the Nordic country’s top division. He was signed by Real Madrid in January 2015 and subsequently became their youngest player in May 2015.
He was in the Spanish team until the 2017/18 season and was then loaned out to Heerenveen and Vitesse Arnhem of the Netherlands. Following his spell in Holland, he returned to Spain to wear the Real Sociedad shirt in 2019/20, where he helped the club reach the Copa del Rey final.On the other hand, Arsenal have indicated that the transfer is subject to the relevant regulatory processes and visa requirements.
