Investigative police from the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office arrested Claudia Priscila “M,” one of the collaborators of Cuauhtémoc Gutiérrez de la Torre, a former PRI leader in Mexico City, accused of alleged human trafficking and who is a fugitive.
Claudia Priscila Martínez González is identified as the alleged hooker of women for the alleged prostitution network of Gutiérrez de la Torre, revealed by journalist Carmen Aristegui in MVS Noticias in April 2014.
The investigation indicated that young women were recruited to be part of a prostitution network through classified ads in which female staff between the ages of 18 and 32 were requested to work in government offices.
Last March, the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City obtained an arrest warrant against Gutiérrez de la Torre, for his probable responsibility in the crimes of human trafficking and criminal association.
According to the agency, the arrest warrant was issued by a criminal judge against the former leader of the PRI capital and four other people, including three women, since the evidence presented proves their possible responsibility.
Another of her collaborators, named Adriana, was arrested on March 11, for allegedly being part of the subordinates “who published advertisements for job offers in newspapers and Internet portals and recruited women to induce them to offer sexual services to their boss,” prosecutor Ernestina Godoy said in a message to the media.
In addition, the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) also identifies Gutiérrez de la Torre, along with 21 other people, as possible involved in money laundering that would have as its origin the sexual exploitation of women. Former public servants would also be involved in such a list.
