The Ministry of Health delivered on Monday a new balance of the Covid-19 situation in Chile, in a day marked by 426 new cases, 21 deaths and a national positivity of 0.87%.
Of the new figures reported this day, 230 correspond to symptomatic people, 147 do not present symptoms and 49 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified. The total number of people who have been diagnosed in the country reaches 1,644,540. Of that total, 3,160 patients are in the active stage, while the recovered cases are 1,601,589.
With the 21 deaths reported by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), the total number of deaths amounts to 37,253 in the country.
To date, 482 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU), of which 355 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 474 critical beds available.
The results of 46,802 PCR tests and antigen tests were performed and reported, reaching to date a total of 20,953,994 analyzed nationwide. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 0.87% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 1%.
