French President Emmanuel Macron was hit by an egg while taking a mass bath during the Lyon International Exhibition of Restoration and Tourism, by an individual who shouted “Long live the revolution”.
The egg, which did not break, hit the shoulder of the president, who was immediately protected by the bodyguards, and who at the same time asked to talk to the aggressor.

“If he has anything to tell me to come,” macron said, adding that he would come to see him later. Law enforcement took away the man, an unidentified young man for now.
The head of state had had until that moment a rather placid visit to this room, where the country’s restaurateurs thanked him for the help during the worst months of the pandemic.
