Victims’ collectives locate 10 clandestine graves in Yecapixtla, Morelos

The National Brigade for the Search for Disappeared Persons announced the discovery of 10 clandestine graves in different parts of the municipality of Yecapixtla, in Morelos.
Some findings occurred in areas that had allegedly been processed by the State Prosecutor’s Office, according to the victims’ collectives, who pressed for authorities to resume exhumation and identification work in graves in the Jojutla pantheon.
The first finding, the group detailed, was in the municipality of Cuautla, then there were eight finds in a sand mine in Mixtlalcingo, within Yecapixtla; the tenth finding was in what they believe was used as a safe house.

“The situation that the Brigade found in Morelos shows that a much greater commitment is still needed from the authorities of the different orders of government to coordinate and fulfill their responsibilities, both in the search and in the investigation and identification. The Brigade itself was forced to work without the necessary security conditions for all its axes,” denounced the group that visited the municipalities of Jojutla, Huitzilac, Amacuzac, Yautepec, Cuautla, Temixco, Totolapan, Puente de Ixtla, Tetecala, Xochitepec, Cuernavaca and Yecapixtla.
