Judge links to process two involved in shooting in Puerto Morelos

A control judge linked to the process two probable participants in the shooting on a beach in Petempich Bay, in the municipality of Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, which left two dead.
The Attorney General’s Office reported that the persons are linked by the crimes of qualified homicide and injuries qualified in tort of three victims of reserved identity.
He added that, after evaluating the evidence provided by the FGE prosecutors, the judge determined informal preventive detention for the two defendants and gave a period of three months to close the complementary investigation.

In a statement, the agency explained that one of those linked to the process is considered the material author and another the intellectual author.
“The first drove one of the vehicles that transferred the aggressor group and the other defendant ordered that illegal action from inside CERESO,” the state prosecutor’s office said.

He added that investigations will continue against other participants.
