The month of the aguinaldos

The Directorate of Labor and Social Welfare urged employers to comply with the obligation to pay the bonus to workers before the 20th of this month.
The benefit is at least the payment of 15 days of salary, as established by the Federal Labor Law. Failure to do so risks being the risk of being the seed of a financial fine. That is, it comes out worse.
Last year, many had the coronavirus pandemic as a pretext to hide this work benefit from workers. That situation was understood by the employees because the businesses were closed as a preventive measure so as not to be infected with the virus. What was wanted was to preserve the source of employment.
However, this year is different, since economic activities resumed and it can be said that after mass vaccination life has already normalized. In that sense, there are no longer justifications for the bosses not to comply. These must be prepared for this date long awaited by the workers, since they get an extra resource for Christmas expenses.

It is hoped that there will be no need for workers to turn to the Labor Prosecutor’s Office to report the lack of this payment.
