Receive Culiacán, Sinaloa New Year 2022 with bullets and rain

Culiacán.- Despite the repeated warnings of the Government of Sinaloa, in the city of Culiacán, in the middle of an icy and rainy night, the culichis received the New Year 2022 with gunshots in the air. Since the morning of December 31, 2021, the cloudy atmosphere was felt and rain was forecast at night, however, that did not stop the celebrations of the Sinaloans, because despite the weather and the fourth wave of Covid-19 with the Ómicron variant (Sinaloa has confirmed 1 case), the traditional parties were held, in which the traditional “serenade” of bullets of different calibers was not lacking. This “tradition” is recorded year after year, despite the intensive campaigns of the Secretariat of Public Security of Sinaloa, which aware of the reality of firearms, urges to live together as a family in a safe and responsible way “Not one more Bullet!”. The streets of the capital were unusually lonely because of flooding and the humidity of the heavy rain that fell on most of the city, even so, the smell of roast meat, loud music and shouts of joy were the constant. The intense night rain that set New Year’s Eve to music was mixed with corridos, banda, norteño and other genres that set the parties of Culichis families and visitors. This December 31 evening was the perfect closing for a year 2021 with tragedies, unexpected events and a “new normal” that was never as normal as millions in Mexico expected. However, as happens every year, before 12:00 pm on January 1, 2022, the gusts and detonations overshadowed the parties of the families who took refuge in their homes to take care of the “rain” of bullets, and thus prevent a stray bullet from seriously injuring them.
